Hey everyone! It’s been a while since my last post! Basically to make a long story short, a lot has happened!!! It all started back with the Reebok CrossFit Games Open. I made top 60 at 55th place and earned my spot at Regionals. Regionals were a whole other ball game. Out of the 60 female athletes nearly half went team instead of individual! Regionals was tough but a good experience! I made it out alive at 24th place, with knowledge to make me better for next year, and believe me, I’m pumped! With the CrossFit Regionals done I had two and a half weeks to get ready for the Midtown classic, an Olympic weightlifting meet in Sacremento. I not only had to clean up my form as much as possible (it’s still a wreak), I had to cut my weight from 134 to 127 which is easier said then done when you’re at 10 percent body fat. Keeping water off was a huge task for me. I’ve never been so thirsty in my life! I’m a puss!!! Anyways I came in Second in my weight class for totals ( amount of weight lifted between the snatch and the clean and jerk) and third overall with a medal. Yay Me!!!
In other news I have also added Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to my plate. My hunny Bry says I’m a natural! I’ll take his word for it! Even more news, Knoxx Gear has taken me under their wing as a sponsored athlete! They sent me endless support for Regional’s and are in the works of producing a KnoxxFit clothing line for CrossFitters. I’m really stoked to see what they come out with! Check out Knoxx’s blog here to see what they are up to! Speaking of Knoxx I can not express my gratitude enough for all that they have done! Thanks guys!
In short I qualified for the American Open as well as Nationals and as of right now I am 10th in the Nation for my weight class! Not bad for only a couple weeks of training. I still have a long way to go but I cant help but be excited. None of this would have been possible without my teammates, my coach, or especially the love of my life Bryant Pangelinan. He has inspired, encouraged, and believed in me when no one else has. He has pushed me and supported me no matter what I’m doing. My accomplishments are so because of him! I love you baby, I hope you know how much!
Below is a video compilation of My CrossFit Games Open experience!!! I promise to become more epic in the near future!!!! Thanks for stopping by!!! XOXOXO
This past weekend was a blast. For starters Oktoberfit as the grand opening for CrossFit Silicon Valley was a success. It was a well run event that smashed everyone. Thanks guys. My team was awesome. Benson and Helen kicked ass in their first CrossFit competition. We took third for the scaled division and had a blast. I also went to the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Open in San Jose this weekend and got to see Bryant’s teammates compete which was an awesome inspiring experience. Now I really want to learn BJJ.
Update: Due to the low traffic to this site I think I’m going to change the focus from whatever I have to say about stuff to whatever I have to say about a zombies. I think its more important. With the next season of the Walking Dead out I feel that its appropriate to educate you my peers on how to prepare for the zombie apocalypse. After all tha’ts why I do CrossFit, to be prepared…Just sayin!
The CrossFit Games Open will be in February. This is the sectionals portion of the road to the Games. My goal this year is to make top 50 and hopefully make it to Regionals. Basically I have to discover my inner honey badger badassness. I’m going to be on a strength bias program until December. In December I’ll start throwing in gassers whilst still maintaining strength. January I’ll start busting out long met-cons with some strength and I think I’ll be pretty set. I’m hoping the format is a little better than last year. Set workouts as opposed to AMRAPs (As Many Rounds/Reps As Possible in an allotted time) would be ideal. I also hope they crack down on judging as well as movement standards, put a stop to the cheating and give people with good technique a chance.
Anyways, aside from my training, I have been having the time of my life. I can not think of a time in my life where I have been happier. I have had many changes in my life recently and most of them were unexpected. Its amazing how one change can set the course for true happiness. The people in my life are amazing and bring me great joy. I have been really busy living. Which of course is a good thing. When was the last time you woke up and said my life is great?
Goals for the week, buy wrist wraps, practice the movement standards for Oktoberfit, buy costume for Oktoberfit, pay bills, live my dreams!!!
Below is a video of a cute little Saturday hike. Be warned, its so cute you might vomit, I know I did. Enjoi ^_^

I just would like to send thanks to all of you people who check up on me to see if my lazy self has taken the time to relearn English and post on this ol’ blog. I keep saying to myself that I should get on the ball and post at least once a week. Part of my issue is I do not have Photoshop on this computer and I like to make my photos edgy so that you guys think I’m awesome. Another issue is I don’t really have any video editing software to make really compelling videos for you guys to watch. I would hate to bore you. And lastly I don’t really have very many people checking this place out unless reddit or some other web phenomenon decides to post a picture of me doing a really light bench press or something.
I’m not too sure if people find me interesting?! So my goal is to post once a week, I’m thinking Tuesday nights to start. Also, I’m gonna work on that Photoshop video editing software thing. I dare myself to accept this challenge. I also dare you, the reader, to give a sh*t about what I have to say. I’m actually kind of excited!
The photo is of a women’s CrossFit competition I did. I came in 21 out of 100 with only two weeks of training after being out for two months. The next FemmeFit is expected around January/February 2012, that’s my new motivation as well as the 2012 CF Sectionals. Cheer me on guys!
The Courage Games was definitely an experience. And once you overlooked the rain and the deafening pain of your hands and feet as they froze it was even fun. Don’t hate me for speaking up, but the judges were definitely not on the same page. They gave poor movers an unfair advantage over people who met movement standards. This is not the fault of the athlete of course, nor is it really the fault of the judges. It really comes down to the organizers and how it is their responsibility to hold everyone to the same standards. We see similar discrepancies in any CrossFit Competition, however, this was the worst I have yet seen. The reason this bothers me is because the outcome could have been different. However I feel like everyone took something from this event. Also, I feel that everyone left with a handful of new friendships. The first workout was fun. The second one made me cry for mommy, and the last one was a blast, but overall I’m glad its over.

I think I’ll be getting sick. I think a full day of shivering left my immune system pissed off at me. Lesson learned, maybe think twice about doing a outdoor competition in the middle of Winter. I don’t care what the groundhog said this year, it is Winter still.
